I am a retired physicist with a lifelong interest in art. I took up ceramics in 1976 at an adult ed class at Patrick Henry High School. I honed my skills at San Diego City College for the next 7 years, focusing primarily on functional stoneware. In 1983, I retired from pottery due to the demands of work and family, always knowing that I would resume one day when time permitted. That happened in 2010. I still make functional stoneware, constantly challenging myself to explore new designs and glazes.
